who wore it better?

I love doing these because I love seeing how different people wear different articles of clothing. For the readers who haven’t seen my posts like this before, basically I’m going to be comparing how two celebrities wore the same item of clothing. I’m not doing this to say anyone is better than anyone else. I’m just judging based on my style and my opinion. That doesn’t mean that the person I don’t pick is ugly, or has no fashion sense. It just means that I would rather wear one over the other. So, let’s get started!

Malin Akerman vs. Alison Brie

Same clothing item: Sherpa coat from Old Navy

I think that Malin Akerman wore this coat better than Alison Brie. I like that she has the coat more open so you can see the brown collar on the inside of the coat. You don’t really get to see the full extent of the coat in Alison’s outfit. Also, with the coat closed like Alison has it, it kind of engulfs her a little and you can’t see the shirt underneath. I also think Malin’s shirt is more interesting and has more personality. Malin’s lighter jeans also add to the light colors of the coat while Alison’s jeans make her outfit darker and less eye-catching.

Katie Holmes vs. Emily Blunt

Same clothing item: Zimmermann sweater

This was a hard one for me, but I think that Katie Holmes wore it better and it all comes down to the shoes. I actually really like Emily’s green pants combined with the sweater (I know it’s a little different but I like that). I think that Katie’s is a bit simple. However, I’m not really a fan of the red shoes with the green pants. If she had done another color and perhaps open-toed shoes, I would like Emily’s better. I like Katie’s shoes with the sweater because they make her outfit more classy and almost business-y since the jeans are so casual.

Olivia Wilde vs. Priyanka Chopra

Same clothing item: Kate Spade dress

I think that Priyanka Chopra wore this one better than Olivia Wilde. I like Olivia’s tall boots and dress look sometimes, when it’s well done. However, Olivia took two risks: tall boots and a dress and she also made the boots a bold color. I think it’s too much. I would have done either tall boots in a neutral color, or simpler shoes in that bold lilac. I also think that Olivia’s necklace takes away from the dress and she should have let the dress stand on it’s own. I love the color of Priyanka’s dress on her skin tone and I love teals/turquoises with silver so I love the shoes she picked out. I like that her hair is up in a bun because it allows the dress, especially the collar of it, to be the center of attention. The glasses make it more funky and add an unexpected twist that I like.

JoJo Fletcher vs. Lily Collins

Same clothing item: Alice + Olivia blouse

I definitely think that JoJo Fletcher wore this better. I think that Lily Collin’s shirt is too casual with the more fancy, silk shirt. The color also throws me off. I don’t mind the shirt being a different color than the blouse, but I feel like that color doesn’t work at all with the red. I like that JoJo closed the blouse to show it off in it’s entirety. I love how she tucked it into the white shorts. It’s more interesting and unexpected than Lily’s. I also think JoJo’s shorts add to the fanciness of the blouse, but also makes it fun and chic. I think that the metallic shoes work better with the blouse than Lily’s brown ones. I like that she put her hair up to show off the blouse and the entire outfit. I feel like Lily’s hair covers up parts of her shirt and the blouse so you can’t see all of it.

Kendall Jenner vs. Jennifer Lopez

Same clothing item: Solace London pants

I think that Jennifer Lopez wore this better. I think that a shirt tucked into the pants looks better than a crop top. I like that Jennifer kept it simple with the shirt. I think that the pants are already so eye-catching and Kendall added a top that is also really eye-catching so you don’t really know where to look. There’s too much going on and you don’t know where to focus. Also, Kendall’s top is metallic just like the pants are and I think that’s too much. I also like that Jennifer wore her hair down and flowy which compliments the flowy, romantic dress. Kendall is wearing the pants like they’re casual leggings, which I don’t like.

Katy Perry vs. Kat Graham

Same clothing item: Christopher Kane Fall 2017 dress

I think that Kat Graham wore this dress better. The colors and sequins of the dress make it sexy so I like that she showed some cleavage and leg to add to the sexiness. I think that Katy’s sunglasses just don’t work with the dress and age her a bit. I also think that Katy could have shown a bit more skin by not having the tights. The color of the tights darken her whole outfit even though the dress is so bright. I love Kat’s shoes with this dress. They match the disco style of the dress. Katy’s shoes tone down her outfit just like the tights do and age her as well.

Janelle Monae vs. Olivia Wilde

I think that Olivia Wilde wore this one better. This is just my personal style though. I love masculine suits, but when I wear them, I want to add a feminine touch. Janelle didn’t want to and that’s just her personal style. It’s not that her outfit looks worse. I just would rather wear Olivia’s. I like Olivia’s flowy blouse with the flowy pants. It looks very romantic and chic while Janelle’s is a little bit more covered up. I think Janelle’s outfit is super stylish too. I just would rather wear something with a bit more feminine touch in it.

honest romwe summer haul

So it’s about to be summer in the area where I live and I was severely lacking summer clothes so I decided to try and find a cheap place to get lots of summer clothes. I was interested to see what the quality would be like and how many I would wear and wouldn’t wear. So I ordered a bunch of stuff and they just came so this is my honest Romwe haul! I’m going to review the clothes with a point system out of 5.

1. Cactus Print Crop Tee

This was actually one of my least favorite items that I got. I’m not really a huge crop top fan, not because I think they look bad but just because I think I look bad in them. However, Romwe is 80% crop top I would say so I had to get some. I was ok with a slight crop but this was waaay more cropped than I thought. If you look at the reviews, other people wrote that too. However, otherwise the material was really good and the design is pretty. I’ll probably where this with high waisted shorts, or pants because I don’t want to show my stomach too much. So if you like a super cropped shirt, this is for you.

This was also very cropped, but not as cropped as the other one so I liked it better. If you don’t want to show your stomach, high-waisted shorts or pants with this will make it basically a regular top. I love the colors together and the vintage vibe of it.

I LOVE this shirt! It could be cropped depending on the size you get, but I got medium even though I’m usually a small so that it wouldn’t be. I love the colors and the image on it. The quality is really good. This is my second favorite thing that I got!

Again, this is very cropped, more cropped than it looks like in the photo. What I didn’t realize was that the tie at the bottom wasn’t already done. You have to tie it yourself. The fabric to tie it is much longer than the one on the picture so the bow looks much bigger and sticks out a bit. It doesn’t look horrible, but it definitely looks better on the photo. Otherwise, I really like the design on the front and it’s a cute summer graphic tee to throw on with shorts.

I LOVE this dress! This is super cute and looks exactly it does on the picture. The material is very light and not the greatest quality, but it won’t break or rip easily. I’ve already worn this three times since I got it with a cute red bandana tied on my head. The navy blue and red is s a super cute pattern and I was skeptical about the neckline being straight, but I actually love it. If you don’t like this in dress form, Romwe has this pattern as shirts, shorts, etc. as well as other cute cherry patterns. I love this a lot!

6. Knot Front Cherry Print Cami Top

I really love this top because the pattern is super cute and the material was actually pretty good. However, there was one thing that made this shirt awful, which is so frustrating because other than that I love it. It’s the fact that, like shirt #4, the tie isn’t tied for you. That cute little knot by the neckline is undone and the fabric to tie it with is much longer than the photo. There’s no way to make a cute knot without it looking bad, or sticking out at an awkward angle. It’s really frustrating because I would definitely wear it all the time if only I could cut off the knot, or have it done for me.
